Making time to Vlog Are you a regular vlogger or do you vlog only occasionally?

Sera McDaid of The Agoraphobic Fashionista

Whether you strategically plan your vlogs or only vlog when the notion takes you, vlogging requires a little preparation. You need to make sure your phone/camera/camcorder is well charged and you must have some idea as to what you'd like to talk about. Then there is the time spent editing your footage, perhaps putting some music to it, and (if you use Taggled!) tagging the various people, products, places etc that you feature.

Whilst some people love to vlog and feel very comfortable in front of the camera, others struggle more with the intimacy of vlogging, especially if they start out as bloggers and venture into vlogging. With vlogging you're really putting yourself and your personality out there and sometimes you may not like what you see when you play it all back.

As with everything, becoming a good vlogger comes with time and practice. You'll encounter hurdles (you thought you were recording but you weren't!) and challenges (negative comments can be discouraging) along the way but ultimately it is a fantastic way to connect with viewers and bring them into your world.

Some people are pros when it comes to vlogging and offer up very sleek edits but don't let that put you off if you're just starting out. Very few people are amazing vloggers from the get-go. They have honed their on-camera presence and editing skills over time. They will have probably started out vlogging with their phones and using simple editing software.

Once you have the vlogging bug and decide it is something you want to keep doing, then you can experiment with new editing techniques and possibly buy that expensive camera that shoots video. But when it comes to vlogging, the most important thing is to stay true to yourself, to be yourself and talk about the things you are interested in the most. Your passion will shine through and viewers will want to return again and again to watch you videos.

Sign up with Taggled and make your videos interactive. It's totally free, easy to use, and will enhance the viewer experience.
